An interesting take on Greek mythology, not the best of movies, but still very entertaining. Mickey Rourke sure knows how to be a really good evil guy and Henry Cavill was fantastic. The bloodbath scenes were pretty epic. I’m kind of a fan of films really making it apparent that the Gods weren’t perfect and they weren’t necessarily immortal, so it was pretty cool seeing a lot of stuff like that in here. My gripe with the Gods is I’m not a fan of them looking so young, they look like they’re in they’re late 20s, while I’ve always seen them depicted (and always thought of them as) older, roughly 40s to 50s (or at least Zues). I did love the way they depicted the Minotaur though, that was fantastic, a more realistic version that still worked perfectly (although I wish his fight scene was a little longer). All in all an entertaining film on Greek myth, although I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone looking for agood film, more someone looking for something entertaining or to someone who likes Greek mythology. 7/10
I love that they took the idea of the Minotaur and turned it into a minotaur-looking practically feral human
All men’s souls are immortal. But the souls of the righteous are immortal and divine.
